For the second year in a row the Queensland Government will be providing a $50.00 electricity credit to all Queensland households in an effort to provide assistance and electricity bill relief.
What do I need to do to apply?
Nothing. Due to the bulk purchase and on-selling arrangement your Body Corporate has in place, SAS has submitted applications to receive the Queensland Asset Ownership Dividend (QAOD) on your behalf to the retailer engaged by your building.
When will I receive my credit?
The QAOD will be available after 30th April 2019 however due to the on-selling arrangement currently in place, the process may take a few months. Once the QAOD has been applied to the Body Corporates bulk bill by the electricity retailer, SAS will apply the credit to your next invoice.
We are unable to apply the credit to a customers account until it has been received from the electricity retailer.
How will I know if I’ve received the QOAD?
You will notice a new line item on your bill labelled “Qld Gov- Asset Ownership Dividend”.
Will this affect my normal concession?
Not at all. This credit is being offered in addition to the regular Queensland Government Electricity Rebate.
What if my bill is issued with a credit amount?
Last year we received numerous queries regarding the QAOD particularly regarding credits and what would happen to the credit moving forward. We can confirm that any credit will be carried forward and applied to your next bill.
